26. Summary Identifying gaps in the UN/CEFACT technical specifications governing  the Core Component Library  supporting XML schemas. Demonstrate different approaches in meeting stakeholder needs. Options to make self-conformance statements:  Core Component Technical Specifications,  Naming and Design Rules. Completion within 3-4 months

27. Problem Many stakeholders are undertaking projects that require: common end-to-end, cross-industry and cross-border recommendations and standards What is relevant, workable and scalable?

28. Strategy Engage with members of UN/CEFACT and external organizations that have established liaisons with UN/CEFACT. Identify and articulate stakeholder requirements for methodology and approaches for the use of the Core Component Library. Identify gaps in the ability of current technical specifications to meet identified requirements. Examine different ways to go forward in addressing envisaged UNeDocs deliverables, Such as support for the re-use of common input for various types of formats (e.g., paper-oriented UN Layout Key, UN/EDIFACT and XML).
