28 Using the home checklist Bathroom Easy Actions Are your showers longer than four minutes?  Yes   Use a shower timer to reduce shower length to four minutes or less per day. Do you collect shower water for use on the garden?  No   Collect shower water in a bucket, if you can do this without damaging your back.  Install a grey water diverter from the shower/bath water drain pipe and a grey water hose.  Use garden-friendly soaps and shampoos. Slightly harder actions Have you changed your showerhead to a low flow, water saving one?  No   Change to a low flow shower head (available free from the local water authority if you bring in your old showerhead).
