A few advices to the clubs

It must be fun! 4 A positive attitude among the club officials 4 Parties 4 There is always something going on at the club 4 A cafeteria/bar that is open 4 The club shall be a meeting point

Be nice! 4 Talk with new members 4 Talk with and show the club to visitors

Engage the members 4 Borrow money from them 4 Give every member a task 4 Help the members to set up individual goals

Friendly surroundings for children 4 Swimmingpool 4 PC simulators (virtual gliding) 4 Give the kids an old Bergfalke or K8 to play with

Invite school classes

Modern two seaters 4 It is more fun to fly an ASK21 than a Bergfalke! 4 May be the instructors will last longer 4 May be the technicians will last longer 4 It is more attractive for the students 4 When not used for instructions they can be used for other kinds of gliding

Do not have too many rules! 4 Flight safety does not increase with the number of rules 4 Use a few good rules and follow them 4 If the rules are not followed, do not implement more rules 4 The members shall be allowed to take full advantage of their competence

When the club is going down 4 Restructure 4 Sell gliders but not the best ones 4 Increase quality 4 Consider co-operation with your neighbour clubs

Conflicts! 4 Solve them at once! 4 Growing conflicts and old unsolved conflicts can be devastating

News 4 Do something new and different every year 4 Training camps 4 Organize camps at new unknown places 4 Hire a new glider type 4 Club competitions
