Bradie Zimmer-Collins Freestyle Snowboarder Proposal for Sponsorship
2
Background Bradie first stepped onto a snowboard at ChillFactore in September 2010, ages 8. In May 2011 she competed in her first competition, The Oakley Grom Games, coming third in the 12 and under girl category. Since then she has competed in freestyle competitions all around the UK, regularly making podium, and has just competed in her first overseas competition at the British Championships 2012 in Switzerland, bringing home 2 bronze medals in Halfpipe and Big Air. Bradie takes lessons every week at the Chill Factore both in freestyle and flatland and, being homeschooled, often comes during the day to practice. During the unlimited offer in the summer months Bradie was on the slope up to 6 times a week, not only improving her freestyle but also her basic riding skills.

Coaches report Dougal Doyle Riding style. Strong riding style that given time will develop into a very smooth style Riding skills. Good general riding skills. Short turns and carved turns are particularly good for her age. Switch riding is also very strong. Freestyle skills. Frontside 180s are solid, straight airs on kickers are good with some variation on grabs Bradie can also spin frontside switch. Bradie also has the ability to perform pressed manoeuvres, on boxes as well as BS boardslide and FS boardslide although the latter is weaker. Bradie can also perform some variations on box features. Slope etiquette. Good slope etiquette and responds well to any direction given by snow crew. General attitude. Bradie has a good attitude; above all she enjoys snowboarding and is very willing to learn. Team skills. Bradie is a good team player she responds well with the group. There has been some anxiety with another member of the group. When I mentioned this the following week it was resolved. Areas of development. Short term goal. Bradie is currently working on developing her Frontside 360s and strengthening her FS boardslides. Medium term goal more backside rotations and adapting her strong switch riding into freestyle manoeuvres. Long term goal working towards a fluid riding style, developing all four 180s and building on that progression moving on to all four 360s and so on.... Long term development. Bradie already has achieved good results in a number of competitions. Continue to work along these lines. Some media attention will also help raise Bradies profile. Consider making some videos for personal development and for media purposes also pictures are a great media resource.

Coaches report Maverix I’ve been super impressed with Bradie. It’s tough in the UK for a young female rider to make an impression as their skill level can be artificially inflated due to the general low level of UK female riding. This is not the case with Bradie. She can push it as hard as the boys and even though she is only 9, has impressed me well beyond her years with her dedication to trying new things and listening to feedback and applying it. It is a long road ahead for her, but I feel that given the right support from Chill Factore with keen focus towards kickers she could be the best female rider in the UK in the years to come. Coaches report Kate Foster Bradie shows true potential in the snowboard discipline of freestyle, she has the passion, motivation and the natural ability to excel provided she gets the coaching and riding experience. Our last GB Junior Freestyle Camp was during the week of the Brit’s 18/03/12 – 24/03/12 we worked with Bradie throughout the week during competition training and the competition itself. She did herself proud with winning 3rd in the kids Big Air, 3rd in the kids Halfpipe and 4th in the kids Snowboardcross. It was a great experience and a great start into the competition world for her. She stepped up her game every-day.
