WHEN TO CONSIDER BUYING INSURANCE “I have started a business, when do I need insurance?” You have a registered corporation, company or are an individual conducting regular activities of a business nature. You handle revenue either for profit or non-profit purposes. You have 1 or more persons working for you on your payroll at total of 22 ½ hours weekly, for a minimum of 13 weeks per year. You are bidding, either verbally or in writing, or have a desire to bid on contracts for work.
