Coal is mostly used to generate heat or electricity. Coal is a non-renewable energy source Coal generates 90% of our heat and electricity Coal is burned to heat water that creates steam. The steam moves the turbine which generates electricity

Wind is a renewable energy resource It is used to generate electricity and heat The blades capture the wind’s energy, spinning a generator in the windmill. The generator creates electricity.
