Definition Emotional Intelligence is the ability to monitor one's own and other people's emotions. You can use your own emotions to control another person.

Three Areas of Emotional Intelligence Self-Awareness - knowing ones own emotions. Self-Regulation - knowing yourself enough to where you can control your emotions. Empathy - being considerate of someone else’s feelings.

Questions? Before you are mean to someone ask yourself: How is this going to make the other person feel? What is one way that you can use emotional intelligence when it comes to bullying.

SWOT Analysis Strengths - capitalize on these so that you gain confidence. Weaknesses - helpful to know, so you know where to grow. Opportunities - look to the future for ways to implement The Golden Rule. Threats - causes a person to change their game plan or prepare for an upcoming event.

Challenge Take a SWOT analysis of your current situation and come up with a game plan for future encounters with bullies. “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!” – Benjamin Franklin
