XML import Brainstorming phase Coffee meeting discussion, good feedback Would like to use all the possible XML technology Keeping in mind PVSS future evolution: XML ascii import 06/09/20109 Device XML file PVSS XML DPE file (like Ascii Import) UAB/UAB plugging DeviceType rules Linked to a version of a component PVSS

Next meetings October Trending in PVSS 3.8 SP1: new features November/December CPC: new features Recipes XML Import 06/09/201010

Device access control List of device actions authorized per domain and privilege (domain:priv) E.g: Select UNICOS:expert; Ack UNICOS:admin Proposal (nearly equivalent to the current implementation) List of device action associated with a component version, loaded in PVSS, readable but not online writable Customizable at the device instance level, not at the device type level Definition of all the actions and their associations with domains and privileges (missing action means never allowed) E.g.: Select EIC:admin, QSCBD:expert SetValue: EIC:admin, QSCB:admin Ack:QSCB:expert Tool to propagate the customization for all device instances Impact: definition in SPECs (expert specs), all customized devices must be in! 06/09/201011
