Session Overview This session will explore the strengths and limitations of the case study as a teaching tool for sustainability. Special emphasis will be given to the discussion of any unique challenges associates with sustainability cases in the following areas: –Content and development –Context and objectives –Application and use

Themes/Discussion Questions What are the unique challenges in the development of case studies related to sustainability (e.g., how are the perspectives of relevant stakeholders such as community members, environmental organizations, and regulators addressed?)? What are the unique lessons (knowledge, skill, and attitudes) that teaching cases on sustainability can and should address? How are teaching cases on sustainability effectively integrated into the curriculum and what is their role in strengthening the overall importance of sustainability business school programs?
