INQUIRY QUESTIONS Factual What global events happened during the composers life? What was a famous composition of theirs written about? What was happening in the composer’s life when they wrote this famous composition? What was a life-changing moment in the composer’s life? What musical elements are present in this composer’s music that define their musical style? What musical period is your composer from? What musical period came before and after your composer? What musical elements were present in these three different musical period?

WHAT TO ACCOMPLISH TODAY Use Factual Inquiry Questions to start finding information about your composer’s life. Use a Word document to keep track of websites you find helpful, and answers to the Inquiry Questions. Gather information that will help you get started on your research; what are the big ideas?
