A president must be 35 years old or older. He or she must have been living in the USA for at least 14 years. A natural-born citizen.

The judges and cabinet members make laws. And approve appointments by the president.

The senate or house writes a bill. They vote in the bill. The bill goes to the president. The president approves the law =bill becomes a law. The president vetoes = the process starts all over.

Each state has 2 senators. The senators have 6 year terms. The qualifications are… 1. at least 30 years old. 2. a U.S. citizen for at least 9 years. 3. a resident of the state from which the candidate seeks election.

There are nine parts of the supreme court. There is a Chief Justice. And 8 associate justices.

Interpret the laws. To protect the rights and liberties of everybody. The supreme court has the power to decide whether a federal or state law or action by the president is constitutional.

Justices may remain in office for life. Justices are chosen by the president and approved by the senate.
