What is Aphasia? Aphasia occurs when the communication centres of the brain are damaged, usually after stroke.

What Connect does We produce publications and resources by and for people with aphasia We provide training and consultancy to decision-makers and front-line providers in health and social care. We pilot and evaluates effective and economical services We raise awareness of aphasia All that we do is underpinned by practical research

The Music Group Runs Friday mornings 20 - 25 people Facilitated by people with aphasia, supported by volunteers Members bring in CDs, select, play and discussed the music An extraordinary eclectic range of music A range of resources to support a ‘holistic communication’ approach
