4 How do Standards work? Secure Developing Beginning Secure This is our end of year expectation for all children. It means a child has securely grasped the objectives in their year group Standard. If Secure is reached before the end of the year, a child will begin to develop ‘secure with a greater depth’ of that Standard. Stages within a Standard
