2 Background For the first time… DWP want to explore options for sharing personalised data with local authorities Need for evidence to build business case for sharing personalised data more widely Kent one of three pilots (Liverpool, Leeds) Data to be shared for benefit of Thanet Works

3 The plan DWP to share personalised benefit claimant data to combat worklessness For specific, defined project purpose Implications around data security which each stage in the chain will have to adhere to Need for close collaboration with JCP locally to remove risk of engagement fatigue

8 Benefits for Thanet Works Direct access to core target population Evidence from individuals on their barriers Opportunity for more targeted work with Lone Parents More clarity at a local level about what can be shared and for what purpose Improved partnership working

9 Benefits for the Individuals four partners all offering provision that is complementary rather than competitive! received information in an informal setting Attendance at joint engagement event through direct marketing campaign a centralised system agreed for the benefit of individuals - progression / retention and referrals.
