1. I have plans and ideas, but I must accept that God has final say (verse 1). 2. I invite God to expose and adjust the motives behind my ideas and plans (verse 2). 3. I prayerfully yield control of the decision to follow God’s guidance (verse 3). 4. = SUCCESS! God works out everything according to His purposes (verse 4).

(Psalms 37:4-5) Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. {5} Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:

(Proverbs 13:10) Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice. (Proverbs 15:22) Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. (Proverbs 20:18) Make plans by seeking advice; if you wage war, obtain guidance.

(Proverbs 12:15) The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. (Proverbs 14:12; 16:25) There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. (Proverbs 21:2) All a man's ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart. (Proverbs 26:12) Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

(Proverbs 12:5) The plans of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful. (Proverbs 15:26) The LORD detests the thoughts [plans] of the wicked, but those of the pure are pleasing to him.
