2 3.1 Speed, Velocity and Acceleration  Speed: Rate of change of distance.  Velocity: Rate of change of displacement.  Acceleration: Rate of change of velocity.  Instantaneous Velocity: Velocity at an instant.  Average speed: total distance travelled/ total time taken

3 3.2 Equation of Motion  s = displacement or distance (m)  u = initial velocity (ms -1 )  v = final velocity (ms -1 )  a = acceleration (ms -2 )  t = time (s)  h = height (m)  g = gravitational acceleration (ms -2 )
