Elizabeth I was born in September 7 th 1533. She was born in The Palace Of Placentia, Greenwich United Kingdom
3
I Had chosen Queen Elizabeth I, since I think she was a strong woman that was dominated by men. She achieved recognition for England as a leading power in Europe
4
And later she lead England as a woman, in what was a very much a mans world, in what she did this with courage, intelligence and loyalty to her friends. She was gifted with the ability to speak several languages including Latin,Greek, French, Spanish and Welsh.
5
It was a really good accomplishment to survive the questioning she endured at the tower of London, when she was imprisoned there by her half sister Mary 1. She was accused of being involved with the protestant rebellion led by Sir Thomas Wyatt The Younger.
6
On The religious front, Elizabeth’s Father Henry VIII had established protestant church of England as a demented church, Elizabeth’s half sister Mary I had tried to re – established the catholic church in England as the main religion of England killing thousands who refused to renounce their protestant faith.
7
As a result she became known as ‘Bloody Mary’. It was during Elizabeth’s Reign, that the church of England, finally re – forced its position as the established church in England. The Church Still Holds Today
8
Unfortunalty She caused untold pain and sorrow to Ireland and her people. While I personally may not agree with the views she held or the actions she took, I cannot, but admire her strength of character and her determination to achieve her goals. Queen Elizabe th Septe mber 7 th 1533 – March 24 th 1603
