Research and Health: key role of the NHS Research is an area where Government proposes to strengthen the Constitution. One of the principles proposed is: The NHS aspires to the highest standards of excellence and professionalism - …through its commitment to innovation and to the promotion, conduct, and use of research to improve the current and future health of the population. NHS Mandate Consultation on NHS Constitution Sets strategic direction. 20 objectives: one is to ensure new commissioning system promotes and supports participation by NHS organisations and NHS patients in research funded by both commercial and non-commercial organisations, most importantly to improve patient outcomes…
