Introduction Joint workshop hosted by IEEE P2413 in conjunction with P2413 plenary meeting that took place April 27th 2015 in Grenoble France Objectives of the workshop – Explore synergies – Review reference architecture of oneM2M (see next slide for more information) Agenda of the workshop: – A brief presentation of the oneM2M work – A brief presentation of P2413 work – oneM2M’s ideas regarding oneM2M/P2413 potential collaboration – P2413’s ideas regarding oneM2M/P2413 potential collaboration – Roundtable discussion – Conclusion (prioritized list of collaboration opportunities) It was made clear that the workshop is non decision making from oneM2M perspective (the meeting is considered as an ad’hoc)

Additional background The IEEE P2413 working group is chartered to produce a reference architecture through which concrete architectures and protocols (e.g., oneM2M) can be expressed. One of the current activities of the working group is to review the reference architectures of various standards bodies and fora, to this end a team of 12 people from oneM2M member companies attended this plenary in order to present the oneM2M architecture and answer any questions. The presentation was well received with questions concentrated in the areas of adapting to constrained environments, security implications and dynamic requests and responses. The outcome of the meeting was that oneM2M and IEEE should further collaborate to ensure the oneM2M architecture can be expressed within the IEEE P2413 reference architecture. Note: During the plenary it was discovered that IEEE P2413 has a goal to be service oriented in order to easily integrate with the business systems and process operations that are prevalent in the industrial automation solutions. Work will be needed to consider how a oneM2M framework would effectively integrate into this type of ecosystem. IEEE P2414 official contact is Wael Diab who is tasked to organize the follow-up from IEEE P2413 side. Mr Diad suggested a followup call the week of May 25th oneM2M TP needs to discuss and decide a way forward
