ACE LOGIN The first step in taking your ACE certification is to log in at RegisterASA.com You can use the “Need help logging in?” link to reset your login information (in case you forgot your username or password). Alternatively, you can click Create Profile and then use the pages that follow to reset your Username and Password using information from your membership ID card. KNOWING YOUR PERSONAL STEPS 3 Please select one of the two coach roles. Note: If your desired roles are not appearing in the dropdown box, click the “Profile” link at the top of the page and under the “Personal Info” tab, save your desired roles.

4 PURCHASING THE TEST Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “ACE Certification” tab. Click the “Purchase” button to pay for your ACE test with a credit card.

BACKGROUND CHECK PAYMENT Verify your credit card and personal information for the purchase of the ACE test and background check. The more information provided in your profile, the faster your background check can finish. Credit card information is not stored and will have to be re-entered with each additional purchase. 5 Don’t forget to give your consent for the background check to process.

PROCESSING BACKGROUND CHECK Your ACE test will not be available until your background check has been cleared by First Advantage. You can click the “Background Check” tab to view the status of your Background Check. Note: Around 85% of the background checks finish within 24 hours and a small percent can take up to around two weeks. Expediting steps cannot be taken until after the 14 th day. If this causes an issue, please use the “Local Contact Information” box on your HomePlate.

CLEARED BACKGROUND CHECK 7 This link will appear once the background check status has cleared. Click this link to activate your test.

CERTIFICATION TEST 8 You will be directed to the page showing you how the test works. Click the “Start Test” button to start your test. This page will also show you a short introductory video before the actual test begins.

CERTIFICATION TEST This is the new layout for the ACE Test. The choices for each question will appear after the video has finished running.

ACE RESULTS RECORDED 10 After your ACE test has been completed, you will be taken to this page. Click the “Click here” link to return to your RegisterASA.com HomePlate. There will also be an instructional video from Coach Mike Candrea.

ACE TEST COMPLETE!!! 11 The certification card is printed and mailed the following business day after the completion of the ACE test,. ACE level 1 includes a certification card, a book and a lanyard. FREQUENTLY ASKED ACE QUESTIONS How long is my ACE certification good for? ○ The ACE certification expires on December 31, 2015 If it was purchased after August 31,2014. If my ACE certification expires, do I have to start over at level one? ○ No, your ACE certification is kept in our database for up to three years after the last certification. Be sure to log in with the same profile. How long does it take to complete my background check? ○ Anywhere between a few minutes and a few days. If it has been longer than four days contact your local ASA commissioner. How long does the ACE test take? ○ Each of the four tests are different lengths, plan for somewhere around 45 minutes to an hour. I completed ACE level four last year, now what? ○ The material for Level four, also referred to as Continuing Education, changes every year. You will need to take this level every year to maintain an active certification status. What level of ACE do I need? ○ The completion of any ACE level makes you an ACE certified coach regardless of the completed level. How can I print my ACE insurance? ○ Under the “ACE Certification” tab on your HomePlate, click on the “Review” button. Click the button of your last completed ACE level. Click the “ACE Insurance Certificate” link on the left side. 12
