2. You might only think of pyramids ancient monuments, but there really used in modern day life, we are going to learn how to find there volume in today’s lesson.

3.  The formula for pyramids are easily found. You take 1/3 of the area of the base times the height.  Here are some Example: 2 times 2 times 3

4.  First you multiply 2 by 2 to get the area of the base which is 4  Then you multiply 4 times 3 for area of the base times the height which would be 12 as the volume.

5.  Now work this one out on you're paper

6.  5 multiplied by five would be 25  25 multiplied by 6  150 is the volume

7. Kind of like pyramids, you can find cones the same way as pyramids. Just 1/3 of base times height.

8.  There are mostly just the typical type of cone. Flat bottom and a triangle top makes it seem like it will be very hard to find the volume, but as long as you break it down it’s a piece of cake.

9.  1 st off you will need to find the radius of the bottom circle. Next you will need to measure the height of the cone.  V cone = 1/3 × pi × r 2 × h is the prime formula for the cone.

10.  The base of the radius of the circle is 5cm.  The height of the cone is 10cm.
