History 1994 The idea- 1995 First Brewery in Ballpark 1996-2001 The lean years. 2001-2005 Thinking outside the box. 2006 -2007 Everybody wants a piece of the Sandlot renamed. 2008-Now busy busy busy

Site specific brewing challenges Baseball and Beer go well together unless…..you are trying to brew inside a Major League Stadium. Built in fans and consumers but only 81 days a year. Access issues- Trucking/Deliveries Brewing Schedule is out of sync of games. Malt and keg load in and out Spent grain storage and removal Somewhat limited acceptable range of beer to fans Special security issues on game days limited access Special security issues with VIPs. Special Alcohol Policy Restrictions

Working for a BIG brewery In the beginning-Coors R&D moved to… New Products - UniBev On Premise Sales & Marketing Marketing - Blue Moon Brewing and Research MillerCoors 17 bosses in 17 years

The good the bad and ugly… Recently - More emphasis on the beer not. Sales and Marketing getting more beer knowledge and exposure. T&B training. They get it! Idea people change- They get paid on # of ideas including bad ones – Peanut Butter Ale High turnover rate in Marketing. Always training new people We are not highly technical - Recipe translation - Minutes or water? Corporate BS can bog us down…. IT HR issues remote site Required Safety Training. Don’t’ hand coworkers pointy side first! Lots of Meetings, Conference Calls. START process 364 day timeline for a new beer. How a beer comes to market 5 page check list. Environment Health and Safety Audit 545 lines of check boxes TTB/ATF audits 3 in 17 years. Overall there are some very passion and extremely knowledge people in our company. If we need the resource or subject matter experts they are there.

Closing In my 20 years in the brewing industry I have seen many breweries and people come and go. I have always felt a bond and camaraderie with all the other brewers I have met from the smallest to the biggest breweries. We all have a common bond….beer and that keeps us all going to work and truly enjoying what we do. Cheers!
