City of Frederick, PALS Program Mission: Partnership for Action Learning in Sustainability (PALS) is a campus- wide initiative to help Maryland communities become more environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable. Project #1: Develop recommendations for transforming COF municipal airport into #1 corporate airport in MD. Project #2: Develop recommendations for transforming COF into a destination for annual conferences. Project #3: Develop strategic plan for local COF for-profit social enterprise. Potential Projects

City of College Park, PALS Program Mission: PALS is a campus-wide initiative to help Maryland communities become more environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable. Project Highlight: Identify potential UMD and City of College Park collaborations to improve the sustainability or efficiency of operations and purchasing. Potential Projects

Mission: Business accelerator focused on developing companies who embrace capitalism as a force for good in society. Conscious Venture Lab (CVL) Project Highlight: Develop a strategic plan for expanding CVL throughout the US. The plan should have specific milestones such as next openings, funding initiatives, hiring etc.

Environmental Finance Center (EFC) Mission: To improve the capacity of communities to finance environmental restoration and protection. Project Highlight: Develop a Fund Development Prospectus for a $1Billion Conservation Fund for the Chesapeake Bay. - Capitalization strategies - Recommended organizational and governance structure - Decision-making criteria and metrics Potential Projects

Shifting Patterns Consulting Mission: To facilitate social change by working alongside social enterprises to mobilize resources for addressing today’s most pressing challenges. Project Highlight: Research and test hypothesis that investing in the development of internal and external support systems significantly increases the ability of social enterprises to achieve their social change goals. The Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition Mission: To help members build an electronics industry supply chain that consistently operates with social, environmental, and economic responsibility.
