OneWorld since 1997 Developed a number of special programming changes to accommodate our business over the years Business has several separate divisions and services large diverse corporate industrial customers Most of the business was highly engineered and special design Our past was with no real web presence and no real ecommerce applications

SharePoint was a natural addition to our systems since we have some 9 separate office and numerous diverse customers We have been using it now for two years now and have approximately 350 websites, or workplaces created Primary uses have been list management, spreadsheet replacement, workflow efficiencies, and replacing our company intranet. Because our sales teams are beginning to use websites dedicated to customers more in the manner of a CRM tool it became evident that we needed to integrate our business standards through SharePoint

. E-commerce initiative also started two years ago Started on the premise that we wanted online sales We built a new external, website, optimized it, and started to get good traffic But our dilemma was that we had millions and millions of products that were in our product master in JD Edwards So we sought out a commercial grade ecommerce package that would work with JD Edwards

Using these tools to tap into JD Edwards databases for efficiencies rather than to directly pursue an online sales initiative

We developed various web parts and web based solutions that worked with JD Edwards and were easier, faster, & less costly These web parts will integrate seamlessly into an eCommerce site –Credit Card Processing (Compliance and Efficiency) –Order look up (Efficiencies and better service level) –Quote look up (Efficiencies and better service level) –Sales management tools for divisions, managers, staff –Automated order acknowledgement (service level) –Automated shipping confirmations (service level) –A drop ship portal (Efficiencies, accuracy, and it works) –Inventory management tools (profitability)

To our surprise we found that all our web parts created were a good Fit into the SharePoint Architecture
