Students are required to read 150 minutes a week. 40 min. a night is recommended. Accelerated Reader will begin in September ◦ Average score will be taken monthly and entered into the Gradebook as an Accelerated Reading Score ◦ Tests will be taken weekly at school during our scheduled library time or in class when available.

Math Curriculum Aligned to the Common Core Students will use 8 mathematical principles - 1.Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them. 2.Reason abstractly and quantitatively. 3.Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others. 4.Model with mathematics. 5.Use appropriate tools strategically. 6.Attend to precision. 7.Look for and make use of structure. 8.Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.
