3 When Mission was Built (Founded) My mission was built in October 9,1776.The founder was Franciscan and it was completed in 1798.

4 Mission Site Near San Francisco bay with the Spanish had just began to explore. (Juar Manuel De Ayala sailed into the bay in the San Carlos on August 5,1775). The Mission is now located a half mile from the original site.

5 Father Junipero Serra Fr. Junipero was born in Majorca, Spain on November 24,1713. He became a priest in 1737 and spend some years teaching Philosophy. When he was 55 years old, Serra was chosen by the Romen Catholic church to head the Alt California mission. His first task was to find two mission. His first task was to find two mission in the Alt California.

6 Founder of Mission Several of the men were finding California’s mission chain, and mission San Francisco de Asis. He began the military in the 1730s. Also, he helped a mission in California, and expeditions to San Diageo and to Monterey.

8 Agriculture and Livestock The economy for the mission are similer to plant crops out of wheat, and crops. Also they planted vineyeards, and raised cattled, and sheep. They had a hard time growing the food. The mission did it’s whole life to support itself.

9 Indians Joining this Mission There are a lot women making baskets. There are food like, clams, oysters, onions, carrots, strawberrs, mushrooms, and grapes. Also, they made baskets for food. Other Indians were taken to the mission, and members from the bay Miwok, had tribes. Indians went to mission San Rafael so, that they can live in a better weather.

10 Significant Events More then 200 years before the founding of mission San Francisco de asis missionaries, solders, and settlers were sent to parts of north America, central America, and south America. The religious people involved in the missions were members of a catholic order called Francisco.

11 Current Use of the Mission Mission San Francisco de Asis attend services at the church and more people attend mass from the basilica to mission church. The mission that is open is a wonderful legacy from the past.

12 What I Liked Best What I like best is father Juniper Serra because know I know a lot about him about when he was born, and when he died. Also, I would really like to know more about him.
