7 Modules: Concepts of Information Technology
Using the Computer and Managing Files Word Processing Spreadsheets Databases Presentations Information and Communication Module 1 is a theoretical test of computing knowledge, and Modules 2 to 7 are practical skills tests. The ICDL Syllabus has been developed in collaboration with IT Practitioners, Academics and CEPIS Members.

ICDL Certificate: Modules can be completed in any order:
Pass 4 Modules – achieve an ICDL Start Certificate Pass all 7 Modules – achieve a full ICDL Certificate

How do you get an ICDL Certificate?
Get a Skills Log Book Go through training at a registered Centre or study at home – approximately 30 hours of training per Module, depending on the Candidate’s experience and skills Pass ICDL Tests at a registered Centre (and take Log Book and ID along to the testing sessions) – 45 minutes per test Send completed and signed Log Book to ICDL Africa (where the results will be verified and the Certificate issued)
