Going Green With The Check Process Q: WHO is leading this project? A: The Business Office and Human Resources Office Q: WHAT is the scope of the project? A1: Save postage, paper, and time with the payroll and reimbursement check processes A2: Encourage everyone to sign up for direct deposit Q: WHEN will these changes take effect? A1: Payroll and reimbursement checks will no longer be mailed eff. March 11 > know when to get checks A2: Payroll direct deposit advices will no longer be printed and mailed eff. March 19 > use HIS A3: By beginning of new fiscal year, we hope to be able to direct deposit reimbursement and refund checks

A: Campus e-mails, my.Hollins campus announcements, presentations, targeted e-mails, hard copy memos as needed Q: WHY is this project being done? A: To eliminate paper waste, to reduce costs in these challenging budgetary times, and to improve process efficiencies Q: HOW does this project affect students? A1: Reimbursement checks will no longer be mailed eff. March 11 A2: Student payroll checks will no longer be mailed eff. April 13 A3: Student payroll direct deposit advices no longer printed and mailed eff. April 13 A4: Help us be more efficient, save money, and go green by enrolling in direct deposit!
