3. What to Do First  Open the Microsoft PowerPoint program by double clicking on it.  Create a new presentation  Click on Blank presentation  Click on O.K.

4. Title Slide  Choose an Auto Layout  For the Title slide, I would select the first one.  Then click O.K.

5. Title Slide  Under Common tools or Format  Select Design Template  Find the one you would like and click apply  I chose Sakura

6. Title Slide  Type in the title of your presentation  Type in the names of your group members

7. Practice  Go to your computer and let’s get started.  Open Microsoft PowerPoint  Create a new presentation  Choose an Auto Layout  Type in the title of your tribe  Type in the names of your group members  When you are finished, come back and we will do the next slide together.

8. First Slide  To get a new slide  Click on Insert  Click on New Slide  Once again choose an Auto Layout  I chose the second one  Click O.K.

11. Practice  Go to your computer and make the first slide to your presentation.  Make a new slide  Give your slide a title  Go to the web site and copy the map  Paste it on the page  Type the location of your tribe  When you are finished, come back and we will do the next slide together.

12. Second Slide  Make a new slide  This slide will be about the population of your tribe  With the information that you have gathered, you are to create your second slide.  You might need to make more than one slide for population.  Don’t forget to include pictures.

15. How to Add Sound  Select Insert  Select Movies and Sound  Make sure the microphone is plugged in  Select Record Sound  Push the red button  When you are finished, push the square button.  Press Close

16. How to Test Your Presentation  Open your presentation  Select Slide Show  Select View Show  Make sure you save your presentation before you close your PowerPoint presentation.
