As part of our Marketing lesson we visited our local Stop & Shop to experience first hand the strategies applied to store layout, product placement and target marketing.

Learning About Produce The produce department is usually located in the front of the store to show off colors and freshness.

Saving Money with Flyers The manager explains how they advertise specials in the weekly flyer that can save you money.

Target Marketing Based on your buying habits and your shopping card, the computer automatically prints out a coupon for your favorite products upon check out.

Next – Taste Testing Which soda tastes better? Coca Cola or Store Brand? We chose Coca Cola

Salsa Taste Test Which salsa tastes better? Brand name or Generic? We couldn’t find a difference.
