3. The Apostles Please get together with your groups to prepare to present your apostle to the class. Some options include: Assigning an appropriate nickname Creating a symbol for the apostle Impersonating the apostle

4. The apostles were chosen to share the ministry of Jesus and act in His name They were privileged to live with Jesus for about 3 years, listening to His teachings and watching what he did Because the apostles told about their experiences, we now know about Jesus

6. Who carries on the teaching of the apostles today? The Pope ▫He is the Bishop of Rome, the pastor of the whole Church, and has universal power in the care of souls The bishops ▫They are successors of the apostles, principal pastors of their local churches, source of unity.

7. Apostolic Succession Means that today’s bishops are teaching the same faith that was handed down from the apostles. They are guided by the Holy Spirit in the same way the apostles were.
