24. “In The Name Of The Lord Jesus” Note carefully that: Baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus is not Holy Spirit baptism Simon did not receive Holy Spirit baptism nor the power of the Spirit through the laying on of hands If he was baptized with the Spirit, he would not have had to ask for the power of the Spirit If the apostles had baptized Simon with the Spirit, he would not have had to ask… If the apostles had laid their hands on Simon to impart the Holy Spirit, he would not have asked… Hence, in any case, Simon was saved by Jesus’ name in water baptism though he did not experience Holy Spirit Baptism!
