What are the seasonal and annual status and trends in climate conditions at existing monitoring stations in and nearby the MOJN parks? How do localized and regional trends in the climate vary with other MOJN vital signs? Do these changes in climate warrant specific research or management actions to monitor or predict their effects on natural resources and other vital signs. 2

Report on status and trends. Determine historic and long-term weather patterns and trends in order to detect changes. Coordinate micro-scale weather monitoring efforts (i.e., install and maintain weather stations and snow gauges) 3

Weather Stations: All except MANZ ◦ In the procurement process ◦ Original RFP – Campbell Scientific & other ◦ Greg Kudray (PACN) is working to resolve before end of FY10 ◦ Data uploaded via satellite; transferred to WRCC ◦ Wind speed & direction, air temperature, relative humidity, solar radiation Snow gauges: GRBA & PARA (?) ◦ In MOJN conference room 4
