PASSIVE VOICE Active and Passive Active: Somebody built this museum in 1895. Passive : This museum was built in 1895. Pattern : S + tobe + V3 + (by ‘agent’) Note : 1) Subject of Passive is from Object of Active. 2) Tobe must be adapted with S and Tense. 3) V3 – Regular and Irregular Verbs 4) By ‘agent’ sometimes exists, but sometimes not.
