Saint Helena was the mother of Constantine the emperor of Rome. Saint Helena went to Palestine to visit the places that Jesus used to live in. She wanted to build churches in Bethlehem were Jesus was born.

The emperor Constantine wrote an order to St. Macarius Bishop of Jersalem to search for the cross of Jesus. So Saint Helena and the Bishop start searching until the found 3 crosses where Jesus was crucified.

They Couldn’t know which one belong to Jesus so they decided to bring a man dying from a disease, she touched the crosses one by one after she touched the third cross she was cured. So they knew that this was Jesus Cross.

The Cross “for the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” Corinthians ( 1: 18 )
