About the Course: Economics This is a college level course with a curriculum with more coverage than most colleges. I.B. and advanced Economics are heavy on the Macro side. Students taking Macro in college have faired quite well at many top level universities.
5
Where are we? We are currently covering the basic concepts of economics: scarcity, opportunity cost, economic systems, utility, developing nations, and the three essential questions. We move on to supply and demand next week.

Economics After MHS Hey Mr. Raffay, what's going on? Going pretty well over at NYU, taking an introductory macroeconomics class, and I gotta tell you, the class syllabus is identical to what we did last year... we actually covered a lot more. The first 5-6 classes so far have been 100% the same as what you taught last year. I know the stuff so well its just painful to stay awake in that class haha.. Just thought I'd let you know your econ teaching is doing a solid job, so keep it up. I'll talk to you later. ND

Procedures Classes are conducted using all of the modalities of learning. Students need to come to class with an open mind. Homework will be limited. 58 minute periods allows me to cover the material and a review. Certain units will have more assignments.

Grading All assessments will be graded on points. The total number of points received over the total number of points possible. Please check Powerschool for updates. Grades are entered as soon as possible, usually within the week.
