Everything you do has a consequence. Are you doing things that help others and society. Or are you doing things that are disruptive and hurt other people. Everything matters and your actions affects others in ways you may not intend or even know about. You are part of society as a whole.

How do you show responsibility on the job?? Employees that show responsibility get better reviews, raises, and promotions. Those who don’t are often fired are disciplined. It also benefits others.

One way to make a difference is to volunteer. Some organizations are: Homeless shelter Ronald McDonald House Womans’ Care Center Hope Rescue Mission Human Society Habitat for Humanity And many others.

Leadership – involves giving people the direction they need to achieve their goals. Having capable leaders helps organizations keep and attract new members to help. Help motivate the group and helps the group to collaborate. Leadership roles helps you learn and practice skills that will be useful in your future career.

Help at a local food bank, senior center, or animal shelter Participate in a charity walkathon or race Participate in a Habitat for Humanity build Coach a special Olympics team Help beautify your community by planting flowers Take part in a neighborhood cleanup Counsel others on a teen hot line Help with a campaign to combat violence, drunk driving, or drug abuse Work with a recycling or hazardous waste removal program
