3 Products and Scope This guideline concerns the ordering of the following products: SYS DMS LIB 500, LIB 510, LIB 520, LIB 530, LIB 542 Ordering Principle One Ordering Tool file is used to order one main product: SYS 600 or DMS 600 In systems where several products are used one Ordering Tool file per product must be filled in The Ordering Tool is used to order product licenses for: New systems System upgrades System extensions

5 Reference Information
Who is ordering the license? Who is the customer? Which is the application area?

6 Reference Information / System Type
Use this option also for pure gateway solutions The two SYS 600 options are important for the reference list. It does not impact the license price Additional clarifications regarding any part of the order file can be entered here. E.g. If the system type options above are not applicable.

7 License Information Specify the type of license here.
Enter the ID of the offer from FISUB or License agreement, in case a discount is specified Enter possible discount information down here.

8 License Information / New Systems
Select New System If there is an agreement on the discount. Enter the discount here. The tool will calculate the net price.

9 License Information / Upgrade (1/3)
The upgrade options are used when the product in an existing system is being upgraded to a new version. The functionality can be extended at the same time. SYS 600: The System ID of the existing license should be filled in. It is not absolutely mandatory but it will speed up the handling as information regarding the existing system is easier to find. Extensions in functionality are not covered by the upgrade discount. If you have an agreement on discount for the extended functionality, enter the discount here. The tool enters the upgrade discount automatically. This can be increased only based on separate agreement. The agreement ID is entered above. The upgrade discount only concerns the upgraded functionality. Not possible extensions.

10 License Information / Upgrade (2/3)
When you upgrade a system, you fill in the functionality in two columns: - Upgraded System - Extend to When you upgrade a system, you also see two price columns. The left one shows the price for the upgrade and the right one for the extension. In the Upgraded System column you fill in the functionality that you have in the old product version and that you still would like to use in the new version. Note – it is possible to reduce functionality compared to what you already have, but you may not add functionality in this column that you don’t already have. In the Extend to column you fill in the functionality that you want to extend to. In the example above the IO count is extended from 4000 to Also HSB functionality is added to the system.

11 License Information / Upgrade (3/3)
Example: You have a system based on SYS including: 1000 IO’s, 2 LON lines You want to upgrade to SYS and use the following functionality: 1500 IO’s, 1 LON line and 1 IEC line Select the appropriate upgrade option Fill in 1000 IOs in the Upgraded System column and 1500 in the Extend to column. Note. You don’t need to upgrade 2 LON lines as you will use only one in the new system. Fill in one LON line in the Upgraded System column and 1 IEC line in the Extend to column.

12 License Information / Extension (1/3)
The Extension option is used when more functionality should be enabled in the product in an existing system. The product software is not upgraded to a new version in this case. SYS 600: The System ID of the existing license should be filled in. It is not absolutely mandatory but it will speed up the handling as information regarding the existing system is easier to find. The existing functionality must be filled in so that the new license will cover all functionality. But the existing functionality will not affect the price for the extension. If you have an agreement on discount for the extended functionality, enter the discount here.

13 License Information / Extension (2/3)
When you extend a system, you fill in the functionality in two columns: - Existing System - Extend to When you upgrade a system, you see one price column. It shows the price for extending the functionality. Note that although you already have the History Data Logging option in the product, the extension still has a price for this option. This is because the price for the option is dependent on the IO count, which was increased from 4000 to 5000. In the Existing System column you fill in the functionality that you have in the product already. This is preferably done by re-using the ordering tool from the original order. Then select the Extension option and the additional column on the right hand side will appear. In the Extend to column you fill in the functionality that you want to extend to. In the example above the IO count is extended from 4000 to Also HSB functionality is added to the system.

14 License Information / Extension (3/3)
Making a second extension Re-use the ordering tool from the previous extension. Press the button shown here to the left. This will copy functionality you extended to last time to the Existing System column. After this you can define the new extension as normal.

15 SYS 600 Configuration To order a SYS 600 License, select one of the two SYS 600 options on the reference page. These options are important for the reference list. They have no impact on the license price. If none of the options are suitable, pick the closest one and write a comment in the Comment field at the bottom of the sheet. On the Configuration sheet, specify the functionality you need. Most of the options have tooltips to help you understand the meaning of the option.

16 SYS 600 Configuration I/O Count
The I/O Count means process data and commands with a connection to the process: Measured values Position indications Pulse counters Commands Etc. Not included in process I/O: Simulated or manual data points, Duplicated data points needed for one logical data point due to protocol specific behavior, e.g. event recordings in RP 570. The IO Calc sheet can be used to estimate the number of I/O's by specifying the IED's, RTU's etc. that are used in the system. The estimated I/O count must be copied to the configuration sheet. Note: The I/O Count is not equal to the PROCESS_IO field in the License key

17 DMS 600 Configuration To order a DMS 600 License, select the DMS 600 option on the reference page. On the Configuration sheet, specify the system parameters and functionality you need. The options have tooltips to help you understand the meaning of the option.

18 DMS 600 Configuration System size
Technically system size is not anyway limited to the biggest values in the tool. When the limits are exceeded license pricing shall be agreed before proposal to endcustomer. Primary substations are substations having a HV/MV transformer. HV is defined as voltage level above the transmission voltage level parameter of the system. Most of the DMS applications work only for network with voltage level below the specified parameter. Default value is 80 kV. MV/MV substations are not counted here. MV/LV substations are MV/LV transformers to LV level, normally to 400 V. Switching devices include all circuit breakers and disconnectors etc. included in the DMS database. This includes manual switches whose state is to be updated manually to the DMS database.

19 HW Keys The SYS licenses are coupled to a specific HW Key (USB stick) You do not need to care about this when ordering licenses The license will always be made for a USB Stick that you have in stock In extensions the license will be made for the USB stick already installed in the system When you receive a license, check the HW Key ID and pick the right USB stick(s) from your stock
