 Staff induction is a formal introduction to the business.  It is very useful for the new employees to know the business.  It is also a legal obligation for any business to organise a staff induction for new employees.

 The main purpose of induction is to create awareness among the new employees about the business.  It also helps the new employees to know about their job and duties.  Good induction ensures new starters settle quickly and happily to a productive role.

 I have organised a staff induction programme for new employees.  The purpose of this induction is to give the new employees a better understanding about the work environment.  The venue for the induction is the staff meeting room.  I have two other staff to organise and deliver the induction.

 We have prepared earlier for the induction.  All the successful candidate’s records have been studied.  We have also printed some pamphlets to distribute the fresh starters.  All the legal paperwork is available to demonstrate the legal issues and obligations to the new employees.

 Our main objective is to communicate closely with the new employees to increase their morale.  To overcome any obstacle or hesitation on the other side.  To convey the missions, goals and philosophy of the firm.

To deliver the information regarding:  What the shifts are  Where is the canteen located  Where are the toilets  How to take holiday or sick leave  The legal entitlements  The dress code  Meeting rooms etc

 Even after the induction new employees will be given support where needed.  They will be monitored to ensure they are meeting performance standards.  In case they need help it will be provided during the probationary period.  They will be given weekly report on their performance.

 During the induction they will visit the whole work place.  They will be shown all the machinery and safety procedure to keep them safe.  They will be briefed about OHS.  We will also provide them with the legal guide and copies of the rights they possess.

 One of the important purpose of induction is also to communicate the key performance indicators with the new employees.  This helps them to know that what are the expectations from them.  They are told about the standards of the service provided.  Their job security depends on the performance they deliver.

 They will be informed that their performance will be monitored throughout their probationary period.  Good performance will result in permanent job and apart from that they will be paid higher than the award rate.  Low performance can result in loosing the job or not getting a permanent position.

 Feedback is a very useful way to examine your performance.  It helps you know your mistakes or how well you are doing a job.  You can even score your performance in the feedback from your audience or customer.  You get a lots of suggestions to improve your performance.

 We have also organised a feedback session after the induction.  It will indicate how useful the induction was for the new employees.  Did they gain enough knowledge about the environment of the work place.  Are they happy with the information provided.  Or they want to know more about the firm and their duties.

 We will appreciate any verbal feedback from the mew employees.  Feedback forms will be distributed among the new employees.  Anyone who will be busy we will email them the feedback forms.  Because we really learn from the feedback and are always happy to take new suggestions.  And seriously consider them to practically apply them.

 At the end of the induction all new staff will be served with the refreshment.  It will relax them if they get too tired.  Everyone be welcomed again to our business.  We will wish them all the best. Thank You
