Email from Rev. Mathias Subba “We went to Shipa Pokhari, Sindupalchok one the most earthquake affected regions on 26th May, distributed Rice, Tent and oil to 150 families. It was heart breaking to see the condition of this village. House were either damaged or destroyed. Schools are totally put to ground. Students have no school at all. More than 50 people are dead and 50 people are wounded in this village. Many people are homeless. The main question is - what would happen to them during the rainy season which is about to start? There is greater need of temporary shelter for them during rainy season. We have felt that we need to do help them constructing low cost temporary shelter.

“I spend next day 27th May exploring Kathmandu city, visiting damaged areas. It was horrible. There are beautiful building around but most of them are cracked, risky to live. I even visited my cousin's house, it is totally useless. She needs to construct another house to stay safe. I spend time with our church members in fellowship at Ashish Presbyterian Church, sharing and encouraging from the Word of God and praying for Nepal. It was a blessed time to look upon the Lord for help. I returned back on 28th May to Kalimpong with heavy heart. I am still feeling like I watched a movie. But I know it is real. Nepal still needs your prayer and support. Please continue to pray and support.”
