2. Sixth Grade Each student is a member of a 4-teacher team, each teaching three subject areas. All students begin the day receiving two periods of Language Arts instruction followed by three core academic classes. The core academic classes are Science, Mathematics, and Social Studies. All sixth grade students take the same core academic courses with the exception of mathematics. In addition, each student participates in the Creative Arts Program, Health/Phys. Ed. Program and optional performance music classes. (Band, Chorus, Orchestra)

Be on time – be ready for class by time the bell rings. Be respectful – to your classmates and to adults. Be responsible - for your actions, for your assignments, and for your success. Students are required - to make up any missed assignments due to absences.

6. English Sixth grade English will focus on three components. 1.The writing process 2.Grammar skills 3.Reaffirm and support reading skills.
