Breathing Under Water When you are scuba diving you are usually wearing a oxygen tank to help you breath underwater until the air runs out and you return to surface. Before oxygen tanks were invented people would just go under water for a little at a time.

How to scuba dive 1. To start scuba diving you take classes to learn how to dive and how to keep safe while diving. 2. Then get the proper equipment to dive safely example: oxygen tank, scuba suit, and scuba mask and tank hose. 3. Find someone who has went scuba diving before to help you dive. 4. Get suited up and enjoy diving.

Scuba diving through the ages New Old Scuba diving equipment has changed through the year. For example: A diving regulator is now in use so the diver can see the pressure in the part of the ocean. Diving a long time ago is very different from how we dive today. For example : back then scuba diving helmets were designed differently as you can see in the picture.

Diver equipment 1. The hose lets air travel from the tank to your mouth. 2. The mouthpiece goes in your mouth to keep water out of your mouth. 3. Valves provide air to the diver through the diving regulator. 4. The harness goes around the body to keep the equipment on. 5. Black plates are a type of harness 6. The tank holds the oxygen.

Divers are limited by law of how far ad long they are allowed underwater One of the most amazing facts about scuba diving is that after seeing those beautiful views it becomes an addicting sport to most people.
