6 Form -the three dimensional appearance of an object How to emphasize form:  Position of light- the position of light can change the form  Layer it- Layering objects adds depth

7 Color in a photograph is the use of red, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple, black and white- sometimes called hue. How to use color to attract attention:  Harmony -repetition of similar elements in a picture (add harmony by taking a pic of colored objects with similar hues)  Vibrant colors-bright colors

8 Texture in a photograph is the surface of the object How to make the audience feel like they can touch it:  Magnify it -close up makes the texture noticeable  Look Down- take pic looking down on object to show texture  Look for Patterns- repeated design (like brick wall, rope)

9 Shape in a photograph is the two-dimensional outline of an object How to emphasize or change a shape:  Plain Background, Busy Foreground -if object has a lot of detail, use a plain background  Shadow- can emphasize the shape of a picture  Camera Angle changes shape- by changing the camera angle, it alters the shape of the subject

10 Space in a photograph is the area around, within, and between objects. How to make good use of space:  Frame It- to confine the space, use and object as a frame for the subject such as a doorway or window  Expand It- to expand the space, there should be no objects that surround the subject  Balance It -when the elements within a photo are arranged equally

11 Line in a photograph refers to line that draw the eye to the focal point. How to have the eyes move around the pic:  Lead the Way- lines of objects in the foreground and background can be used to direct the eye towards the subject  Vanishing Point- is an optical illusion that makes it appear that at some point in the distance the objects will cross one another (railroad tracks)  Balance It -when the elements within a photo are arranged equally

12  Web Photo Gallery  The scrapbook will open in Microsoft Internet Explorer. It has thumbnails that when clicked display a larger image of the picture.  PDF Presentation  The scrapbook will open in Adobe reader in full screen view.
