2 SFX: a history 1997/98 - SFX research work at Ghent University begins February 2000 – Ex Libris acquires SFX technology November 2000 – OpenURL to NISO March 2001 – SFX product launch June 2002 (ALA) – 200 customers in 17 countries July 2002 – Active international user group formed (SMUG) September 2003 – 440 customers in 29 countries
