7. Be Interested In Others ► Been in a one-sided conversation?  Why some people talk all the time  No interest in others (Romans 12:16) ► Don’t brag about yourself  Let others praise you (Matthew 23:12; 2 Timothy 3:2)  Don’t “toot your horn” (Matthew 5:16; Galatians 6:9)

8. Be Cheerful ► Keep the corners “turned up”  Disappointments and heartaches  Don’t “cheer up” others with problems ► Should have a positive effect  Face reveals what is in the heart (Nehemiah 2:1-3)  Be cheerful; trust in the Lord (Proverbs 15:13; 16:20; 27:17)

9. Pay No Attention To Gossip ► Some things are better if left alone  Don’t believe everything (Ecclesiastes 7:20-22)  Gossip is sinful (2 Timothy 3:3) ► Harm done by an unruly tongue  Cannot be tamed (James 3:8)  Say things which build up (Ephesians 4:29)
