4 The tribes were located in present day Mexico and northern Texas. This area was very dry and desert like. There were mountains and rivers that the tribes used to locate food and water. There city state was Mexico. city state www.google.com/images This is the mexico

5 Mayas built cites. There whole city was made of stone. They built more than 100 stone cites. Soon civilization began to take place about 500 Bc during the omelecs. They also had markets. Markets were busy. Traders brought honey, cotton cloth, coca, feathers, copper, bells, gold dishes, pearls, salt, and dried fish.

6 Culture In the olden days there were two groups. The two groups were the Mayas and the Aztecs. The Mayas had farmers. The farmers were the slaves. Slaves were accused of crimes. Priests and Nobles lived in luxury in the cities. Slavery is really bad.Nobles Slavery Google.com/Images

7 The Aztecs were the ones that developed Middle America as Mexicans. They were also known as nomads. They also borrowed new ways of doing Things that are conquered. They also had conoes outside each morning. Cities The Aztecs built their capital, Tenochtitlan. It was on two islands in the middle of lake Texcoco.

8 Cities CONTINUE They filled baskets with mud and planted corn. They also had gardens in zoos and had ware houses. People as well send cloth, jewelry, feathers, Gold, and corn. 9 City-State- A city that has its own ruler and government Classes- a group of people treated with the amount of respect that is given to the group’s place in society Nobles- a person from an important family Slavery- The practice of holding people against their will and making them carry out orders Empire- A conquered land of many people and places governed by one ruler Emperor- the ruler of an empire Tribute-payments a ruler demands from his or her people?” www.google.com/images
