New publishing products Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Case Reports (EDMCR) www.edmcasereports.com Case reports proving more and more popular with end users Met the need of researchers, based on 2012 report conducted by Bioscientifica How has it impacted on the community? 77 submissions in 2013 63 submissions by the end of June 2015, forecasting over 140 by year end, publishing output doubling.

New publishing products Echo Research and Practice (ERP) www.echorespract.com Launched in 2014, joint venture between Bioscientifica and the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) How has it impacted on the community? Now offering European focus, not just US as only other alternatives Since launch in June 2014 to July 2015 54 papers published Accepted for A&I by Scopus and PubMed. Endorsed by 6 leading national and international societies

www.bioscientifica.com Conclusions The landscape has changed in recent years and the impact of OA publishing as well as social media is undeniable Researchers are now able to use different formats to disseminate their research in accepted new models Publishers not adapting or investing into new technology and/or offering new publishing output methods today are at risk of disappearing.
