GROUP CONTRACT Decision Making Communication Plan Problem Management Individual Attributes We are in this together as a team, We must be respectful and accountable to each other. We all factor into how well we do this semester.
4
ERGONOMICS The science of making a work place safe and efficient.

IDENTIFY AND DEFINE THE PROBLEM The problem While ICT is important in any career there is an overwhelming lack of students becoming involved in the ICT program. The Wildcards need to find/develop a marketing scheme that will increase the student enrollment in to ICT classes. Define the problem Lack of information about the ICT program No place for the program to show it’s worth
6
ANALYZE THE PROBLEM What are we suppose to do Work to come up with three solutions What is the ICT program The ICT program is a part of UW Stout's offered programs. Therefore the ICT program "works for" UW Stout and needs to follow by it's rules, goals, etc.
7
THREE SOLUTIONS SOLUTION 1 SOLUTION 2 -On campus with Skype accessibility so off campus students can be a part of the club. -Going on conference trips with professors to help promote the program. -Club will attend/hold events and go to high schools/technical schools to talk to prospective students about the program. -Club will help run CRM. -Hoping to have the club be very hands- on. Where students can show their skills and get some sort of recognition for this besides a grade in a class. Recognition would include something like putting on their resume that they were a part of implementing/running a CRM program or a website SOLUTION 3 - When an event occurs or a new school becomes a contact with the ICT program the list of students at that school or that attended the event will become a marketing list (in CRM). This list will be sent a survey to see how the event went or how interested the students are in ICT. -One question would ask "Are you interested in receiving more information on the ICT program?" If they answer yes the survey will automatically send them a pre written email with information. (This is where the student would become an opportunity in CRM) -If the student then wants to apply to UW Stout as a part of the ICT program they will then become a Contact. Where they will be sent another survey asking how we did, what we could change to help future students looking to enroll, etc. -Once they are accepted to UW Stout they will become Customer where they will purchase our "products" (courses). When they are close to graduating we will send out a final survey asking about their time at UW Stout, if they already have a job for after graduation, etc.

MORE ON THE SOLUTIONS USING CRM Account: Every school Leads: students that show interest Opportunity: an evolved Lead Contact: opportunity who applied for the ICT program Customer: enrolled students THE ICT CLUB Logical - The ICT Club will spearhead the recruitment efforts of the ICT program. Members will attend recruitment events, work on other marketing and recruitment tasks and assist in the administration of the CRM system. This will provide UW-Stout with a good ICT marketing team and provide ICT student volunteers with real work learning experience. Physical - The ICT Club will use CRM to manage marketing efforts in relation to potential, new, current and former ICT students. The use of CRM will, also, provide student volunteers with further real world work experience using an enterprise software system. SURVEYS We will use surveys to gather information from prospective, current and former students in an effort to improve marketing efforts and increase student enrollment in the ICT program at UW-Stout. The information that is gathered will be used to find good candidates and to improve the ICT program. The process that will be used is shown in the flow chart below. The survey’s have been implemented within the CRM, utilizing power survey to take advantage of end user ease of use, automation of worflows and to quickly analyze data.
9
SELECT AND PLAN THE SOLUTION Step 1: Develop the Physical and Logical design of our solution -- Complete Step 2: Create a fake list of students and a script of events that will be used to test our solution --Complete Step 3: Test the solution -- Complete Step 4: Research how to start a club at UW Stout -- Complete Step 5: Develop Constitution that the club would run by -- Complete Step 6: Implement solution in to Production site --
10
IMPLEMENT THE SOLUTION Our solution contained three steps in order to increase enrollment in the ICT program. First step: Create an ICT Club. Second step: Update how CRM is used by the ICT program. Step three: Use of survey's to gauge potential students interest in the program and current students experiences with the program. With the implementation of these steps we have combined step two and three into one. The implementation of the club and our solution for CRM can be found on separate pages:
11
ICT CLUB Contains Constitution Rules Advisors Memberships Meetings Purpose It shall be the purpose of the ICT Club to provide assistance in running the program, CRM, for the ICT program at The University of Wisconsin Stout (UW Stout).
12
CRM SOLUTION Will use Hardware, Software, User Preparation, Personnel, Site Preparation, Data Preparation, Installation, Testing, Start-up, and User Acceptance Hardware includes: servers, environments, and wireless access Software includes: licenses, testing, and remote access
13
SOLUTION HOW-TO TESTING OF SOLUTION -Our test of the solution was completed in the Sandbox section of CRM. -Two students attended an event we held on campus at UW Stout. We gained their emails from the sign-in sheet we have at our booth. -After the event an email/survey was sent to both students with more information about the program to gauge their interest in applying. -They were both from local high schools and therefore were made Opportunities in the corresponding accounts that were made for those high schools. (Menomonie High School and Boyceville High School) IMPLEMENTING THE SOLUTION All information associated with the implementation of our solution is made up and in no way factual, except for the contact information associated with the high school accounts that were created. Survey created in CRM using the Powerpack - Power Survey Event Follow up Survey -Before attending the event, were you aware of the ICT program and its offerings? -Do you think attending this event provided helpful information? -Are you interested in receiving more information on the ICT program at UW Stout? -Overall, what was your opinion of the event? -Do you have any suggestions for improvement? -All students associated with this solution came from one event that the ICT club was involved in at a local high school (Menomonie High School).
14
EVALUATE THE SOLUTION WHAT WAS THE PROBLEM There is a lack of information and marketing on the ICT program at UW Stout WHAT WAS THE SOLUTION The solutions chosen to be implemented included: Using CRM to create accounts of the schools involved with UW Stout, find Leads within the students that can become opportunities for the ICT program at UW Stout. These Opportunities will become Contacts when they apply to UW Stout and hopefully become a Customer once enrolled in the ICT program. DOES THE SOLUTION SOLVE THE PROBLEM The Wildcards feel that our solution does solve the problem. The combination of the three solutions allows graduating high school students as well as interested college students to first, take a survey or questionnaire in order to decide whether ICT interests them, second join the ICT club and stay connected with other ICT students and alumni in order to build friendships and contacts both inside the campus as well as outside. Lastly, having the use of CRM to track and follow up on prospective students will allow the ICT club to stay organized and draw in larger crowds of students. Thus increasing the amount of information gained and given about ICT and effectively marketing the ICT program.
