Academic Reading Test 1: Grading IELTS Academic Reading marking The approximate band scores can be calculated using this table:

Academic Reading Test 1: Grading Your test was graded on a curve. An A = 7.0 and so on. The high score was 8.0 and low was 5.0. This test was modified to be slightly easier than a real test.

Essay 1: Mistakes Basic Rules (also for IELTS): 1. Thesis must have a topic and an opinion 2. Don't put pronouns in the thesis or topic sentences. No connectors either. Ex: She has taught me how to be a better man by... Ex: Frankly speaking, my grandfather is amazing for three key reasons which are.... 3. Conclusion must be at least 4 sentences long.
