4. To Start Our Tutoring Session 1.Launch your Word Processing program (for example, Microsoft Word) 2.Open the paper you wish to discuss 3.Minimize the Word Processing program on your computer desktop

5. If You Lose Your Connection 1.Go back to the http://wrc.uncc.edu websitehttp://wrc.uncc.edu 2.Click the link for Online Tutoring 3.Click on your tutor’s name again under Wimba Writing Consultants & Meeting Rooms and reenter your login information

6. Sharing an Application In a moment you will see the following prompt to share your desktop. Click OK. Open the paper to discuss in Microsoft Word, then resize the dotted box by clicking and dragging the corner and side “handles” so that it covers the entire desktop window. You’re entire paper does not need to be visible on the screen. As you scroll, more will be visible to the tutor. During the application sharing, you will need to keep Microsoft Word open and fully visible.
